At a glance the new BMW 7 is not much different from its predecessor but I found the driving pleasure, luxury and comfort to be much more refined especially sitting in the back and being driven by a chauffeur. That being said I still find some of the new autonomous driving innovations a bit tricky and it needs some more refinement before real relaxation can take place behind the wheel of a car that drives itself. 

I have always wondered about the new revolution of making vehicles more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly. I attended launches of such vehicles years ago and, since then, have tried to keep abreast of what the options are and of possible or real solutions over time.

The newly launched BMW 2 Series Convertible adds to the already popular 2 Series Coupé and is, as far as I am concerned, one of the most enjoyable and refreshing Convertibles in the BMW stable.

The third-generation BMW X5 SAV is the newest in the X5 line, but it looks the same as the previous generation – only by parking them next to each other can you tell the difference. Once the differences become obvious, it is immediately noticeable that the new X5 is more upright, appears wider with its edged lines and has a much broader stance.

BMW has decided to do away with its 3 Series Coupé line in order to re-energise perceptions consumers might have had regarding its ‘smaller’ three-door ‘explosionistas’. Why ‘the 4’ you might ask? Simple... new car, new digit.... It has the added benefit of strategically repositioning BMW to compete more directly in the mid-range coupé market.

The BMW 3 Series has been the leader in the luxury-car segment for three years, which is not surprising since BMW is not one to put a vehicle on the market that is not the product of thorough research and testing. This approach ensures that the vehicle will fulfil a specific need and address new trends in the market.
