ONLINE WORKSHOP
“On Line Knowledge Share Session" for Prospective Mentors to support them in being effective and to manage the process.
Knowledge Share Session will include all interested prospective Mentors and will train them in the various aspects of creating and managing an effective Mentoring relationship.
Skype sessions regarding mentoring are presented by Yvonne Finch Consulting to ensure that they have the necessary skill to deliver effectively in their role.
The on line workshop will cover the following content:

Introduction to mentoring

The relationship and difference between mentoring and coaching

The values and benefits of mentoring for all attendees in either capacity

The benefits of mentoring and challenges posed by organised mentorship programmes

Personal attributes required of a mentor or coach and the values and attitudes required to succeed in the programme

Roles and responsibilities of the mentors and the Mentees, within the context of the Programme

How the programme will be monitored and evaluated

Mentoring skills and strategies:

The phases of the mentoring relationship

Confidentiality of the session content

Cross-cultural / gender mentoring; questioning skills; feedback skills; delegation; listening skills etc.

Overcoming obstacles within the mentorship contract and relationship

Reporting on, and documenting, the mentoring process in line with Project needs

On Line Knowledge Share Session for Prospective Mentees to establish their role and responsibilities for effective participation.
Skype sessions regarding mentoring are presented to mentees as well and will cover the same content and geographic spread as above, but will also include Mentee guidance for the monthly feedback calls.
